Cannes Young Lions Competition
In my free time, I created a submission for the Cannes Young Lions Competition. Along with my teammate, we created a digital campaign for Creative Ladder, a nonprofit co-founded by Ryan Reynolds to make creative careers more accessible.
Grandpa Joe's Campaign
I was the project lead for my Special Topics in Mass Communications assignment. Our project was to take a business and create a marketing strategy on social media and print as well as design deliverables including a press release, emails for the press, and Gantt Chart. I oversaw this project to ensure our team was able to meet our deadline.
Professional Uses of Social Media
This class was fundamental in my understanding of social media planning and campaign management. This class required me to maintain my LinkedIn account, create a brand strategy, complete an audience analysis, and network. The final project for this class was to create a campaign for an activist issue. My group decided to focus on sustainability at the University of Pittsburgh that would target students and encourage them to Choose to Re-Use.
Intergrating Writing and Design
For this class, I had to learn how to use Adobe InDesign to create different spreads that could be published for a client. I decided to focus on creating publications on how to use LinkedIn for college students, how to live sustainably as a college student, and a guide to Kennett Square. My professor was very impressed with my design knowledge as well as my attention to detail throughout these projects.
Composing Digital Media
One of my biggest projects during this class was coding websites from scratch based on our interests. I was able to better understand HTML and CSS coding and create two websites that I am very proud of. I also have more confidence in my coding abilities and tools for coding. I created my logos and color palettes to create branding that complemented the material. I also used the Inspect functions on different browsers to ensure that my websites were coded correctly, for example, I used Firefox to ensure that the grid function was correct online.
